Our Mission:
The Medical
Scientist Student Organization (MSSO) is a student-founded
and student-run organization that acts as the primary liaison
to the Medical Scientist Program (MSP) at The Ohio State
University College of Medicine and Public Health. All students
in the MSP at any stage of their training are members of
the MSSO. The MSSO functions to fulfill many of the common
needs of these students by promoting social, scholarly,
and professional development through its various activities.
Elected officers in the MSSO are President, Vice-president,
Secretary, Treasurer, and Liaison to the MSP Steering Committee..
Recent activities
of the MSSO include:

a biomedical research conference
for the OSU Medical Center featuring internationally
renowned speakers
and over 200 trainee poster presentations.
- Sponsoring,
judging, and awarding the Future Physician Scientist
Award at the Ohio Academy of Sciences’ State
Science Day for junior
high and high school students.

an All-Ohio Premed Day, which included panel
